Terms and Conditions
By accepting a quote or placing an order with us, you agree to these terms.
1. Quotes
Quotations are valid for 14 days from the date of issue unless otherwise stated. Prices are not inclusive of VAT. Once you have accepted a quotation, you will be sent the invoice for the deposit. The deposit is 25% of the total quotation and is used to secure your project start date and the ordering of initial materials.
2. Payment
Payment occurs in 2 stages: deposit and final balance unless your project exceeds £5,000. In which case, payment occurs across 4 stages each at 25%: deposit, project start date, end of the project’s first work and on project completion date.
3. Site Access and Preparation
You are responsible for ensuring safe access to the site for our team. The site must be cleared of any obstructions prior to our start date. If we cannot proceed due to access or site condition issues outside our control, a revisit charge may apply.
4. Timescales
We will agree a provisional time slot for your project to begin once your deposit has been received. Build timescales may be affected by factors outside our control; we will keep you informed of any significant delays throughout the project.
5. Guarantee
We provide a 1 year guarantee for any internal work and a 5 year structural guarantee for external work.
The 1 year guarantee on internal work covers defects in materials and workmanship but does not cover fair wear and tear, damage caused by misuse, third-party modifications, or damage resulting from failure to carry out recommended maintenance.
The 5 year structural guarantee for external work covers defects in materials and workmanship but does not cover fair wear and tear, damage caused by misuse, third-party modifications, or damage resulting from failure to carry out recommended maintenance.
6. Planning Permission and Building Regulations
It is the customer’s responsibility to obtain any planning permission or building regulations approval required for their project. We can advise on whether your project is likely to fall within permitted development rights, but this does not constitute formal planning advice. We strongly recommend confirming with your local planning authority before any work begins.
7. Cancellations
If you wish to cancel your project, please inform us as soon as possible in writing. Cancellations made more than 14 days before the agreed start date will be subject to any costs already incurred (materials ordered, site survey or designs). Cancellations with less than 14 days’ notice of the start date will not be refunded the deposit.
