Handmade Bespoke Carpentry
Designed and built to feel a part of your home — as if it had always been there.
Bespoke Carpentry, Inside & Out
HMJ Carpentry designs and builds bespoke fitted furniture and home structures — wardrobes, media walls, alcove units, doors, decking and garden buildings — for homeowners across Berkshire, Hampshire, Surrey, Sussex and outer London. With 8 years’ experience, every project is measured, designed and built to fit the space exactly, with Harrison overseeing the job personally from first visit to final fit.
Where a project needs more than joinery — an electrician, plumber or decorator — HMJ works with a trusted network of trades to see the whole job through, so you’re not left managing multiple contractors yourself. If you’re planning an upgrade and want it done properly, get in touch for a no-obligation quote.

What Our Clients Say
Cannot recommend Harrison enough. He is extremely knowledgeable, makes great recommendations and works neatly and tidily. He hung three doors for us, two in difficult spaces, and crafted a brand new step between our kitchen and extension.
Last year HMJ Carpentry did a fantastic job transforming our hall and flooring. We decided then that we wanted Harrison to transform our living room with a bespoke media unit to replace what we had. Again brilliant! Eye for detail, very thorough, and we are delighted with the result. We have recommended Harrison to friends and family and we wouldn’t use anyone else. Brilliant!!
Harry was brilliant from start to finish; he helped us refine our rough cabinet design into a practical outcome for the space and tackled an array of other smaller carpentry jobs throughout. His pricing was transparent and reasonable versus other quotes, and he was always friendly and a pleasure to have in our home.
We wanted a refurb at our coffee shop that was both practical and stylish. Harrison had some great ideas and his workmanship was excellent — we’re super happy with the results!
After first meeting Harrison when he came over to quote the job, I knew I could completely trust him to design and build my vision — and that is exactly what he has done. From start to finish he has been polite, friendly and worked to such a high standard. The quality of his work is high end and I couldn’t be happier with the end result. I’ve already got another job lined up for him!
